Exhibiting Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) Auto Components at Arrival LTD

Working towards a world without fossil fuel vehicles is the mission for Foam Products’ customer, Arrival Ltd. Foam Products, manufacturer of lightweight EPP auto components, is providing Design and Development Support for Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) Component Parts for Smart Electric Vans.

To support the design and development for component parts using lightweight expanded polypropylene material, Foam Products held a road show at the London premises of Arrival Ltd.

The Foam Products roadshow displays the company’s technical manufacturing capabilities.  Examples of innovative products and materials were demonstrated to Arrival’s engineers to inspire their creativity and to provide an in-depth understanding of expanded foam materials. 

For this show, Foam Products focused on displaying their moulding capabilities that applied to Arrival’s new development of smart electric vans. Shown products were designed for the needs of the company; Arrival has already scheduled trials in London and Paris, with all core component parts created in-house. Expanded polypropylene is the ideal material to meet the requirements of durability, lightweight, sound deadening and recyclability.  These benefits will decrease the energy running costs of vehicles, boosting sustainability.

The variety and adaptability of a material like EPP allows it to be used across any area of the vehicle where a void needs filling or additional padding is required for safety reasons. There is no limit to the number of automotive applications thanks to the material’s high performance properties and proven versatility delivering functional and supply enhancements that go way beyond what could be achieved with a more traditional material.
