Engineered Foam Products have a number of e-commerce websites allowing consumers to purchase the products we manufacture.
Invented by AC Innovations and manufactured by Engineered Foam Products; HOTBIN is an aerobic composting bin designed to utilise the excellent insulation benefits of expanded polypropylene to recycle a wider variety of waste into rich homemade compost, reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill.
HOTBIN Compost Bin:
- HOTBIN is 32 times faster than a traditional cold composting system
- Heats up to a temperature of 60°C (140°F)
- Contains a bio filter to minimise odours
- Recycles garden waste, fruit and veg, left-over food waste including cooked food and perennial weeds
HOTBIN compost bin demonstrates some of our excellent moulding capabilities including:
- Pop locks, creating a secure seal around the moulded in the lid and access doorhatch
- A working hinge – is this supposed to be a living hinge?
JB Packaging has been supplying Temperature Controlled Packaging since 1982 and understands the importance of reliable, fast and flexible service. Engineered Foam Products acquired the JB Packaging business in 2007 and since then the insulated packaging business has come a long way from its roots as a solution for keeping the catch of the day fresh.
Stocking a wide range of insulated boxes for temperature sensitive applications where temperature stability during transit or storage is key. Standard EPS (expanded polystyrene) poly boxes are available in a variety of styles and sizes with loading options between 1.5 to 25kg, their thermal performance means it possible to keep a stable temperature under 5°C for as long as 48 hours when goods are pre-chilled or frozen and our ice sheets are used.
Reusable EPP (expanded polypropylene) boxes are also available, these can be used over and over again making them the perfect solution for any kind of hot or cold catering events or meals on wheels food drops.Shop now
Moulded Foam Blocks
Our Polystyrene Block website offers a range of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) and Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) Blocks supplied from our two specialist block moulding facilities based in the UK:
- Spennymoor, County Durham (moulding EPP)
- Livingston, Scotland (moulding EPS)
The largest one-piece polystyrene blocks we supply is 2500 x 1250 x 1000mm. Blocks are available in a range of density’s in both white and graphite grey (on request).
We also offer a Fire Retardant (FRA) EPS block which is available in grades from standard density 15g/l to UHD 40g/l.
EPS block is produced using a similar process to moulded parts, but on a much larger scale Block can then be hot wire cut or hand scooped.
Our block is widely used in the construction industry for wall and floor insulation. It is also used for packaging where parts are very simple shapes can be hot wire cut to protect corners and edges. As with moulded EPS, cut parts are fully recyclable.
Our white polystyrene block is manufactured at our facility in Livingston where they have specialist cutting equipment if you require specific dimensions.
Please contact us to discuss your needs further or if you require:
- Additional cutting (extra cost incurred)
- Bulk quantities (full lorry loads)
- Construction and civil engineering
- Theatre, television and film production
- Model making, arts and crafts
- Exhibition, display and design
Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) is a highly durable impact energy management material used widely for impact protection an cushioning in the automotive sector.
We have a range of EPP capable block tools that we use to mould a wide range of densities.
To explore our standard block sizes and densities available visit the Polystyrene Block website. We hold a small stock of black EPP blocks available to order online. Larger quantities are made to order with a 3 week lead time. (All block grades are moulded from virgin ARPRO® EPP bead.)
EPP material offers:
- Superior properties compared to other foams
- Strength, quality & repeat shock performance
If you have a specific project in mind and require some advice we also have a design department available who will work with you to find the best solution. We also offer, cutting, sampling and CNC milling.
Our EPP blocks are typically used for:
- Automotive prototypes
- Seat foams
- Side impact protection
- Packaging prototyping
