Porous Expanded Polypropylene
Porous Expanded Polypropylene (P-EPP) is a unique open cell bead that incorporates air pockets within a hollow cylinder-shaped bead structure making it porous and suitable for many different applications.
P-EPP has many beneficial characteristics:
- Does not support microbial growth
- Highly durable
- Resists multiple impacts without damage
- Sound deadening and acoustical properties for noise reduction
- Discharges no particles when abraded
Automotive engineers select P-EPP in key applications to reduce noise, vibration and harshness (NVH), with tests showing noise reduction levels of up to ten times that of alternative materials. P-EPP is used extensively in car interiors to reduce noise levels without increasing weight.
