There is a large variety of products that can be designed and developed using Expanded Polystyrene and Polypropylene; and Prototyping helps designers to carry forward their ideas and implement them in their design prior to finalisation.

In the last twenty years Foam Products has moved from just manufacturers of packaging to manufactures of specialised technical components and have used prototyping to help designers and engineers to realise new product concepts made from expanded polystyrene (EPS) and polypropylene (EPP).

Both EPS and EPP are highly durable. The lightweight, strength and properties such as sound deadening, shock absorption and insulation provided by these materials have found new applications across many new and growing industries, including Automotive, HVAC and Aerospace applications.

Foam Products offers services in prototype production for potential customers. This enables customers to experience the look and feel of their concepts before committing to a full order of products. Clients can then test the supplied products in any way they would like in their facilities. Foam Products can also offer consultancy and analysis concerning the development and production of any EPS or EPP product.

Prototypes can be crafted in a range of materials such as: EPS, EPP, Arcel® and Noryl® high-heat resistant foam.

While a working mock up can be a little rough around the edges, developing a prototype before laying down tooling is one of the best ways to prove the fit and function before committing to a full order. Prototypes can be easily modified and turned around in as little as two weeks with as many changes as required until the final fit is approved.
