Engineered Foam Products Shortlisted for Made in the North East Awards

An innovative hot composting bin which reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill, the HOTBN has been shortlisted alongside three other companies in the category of Manufacturing Innovation Award.

Now in their 9^th year, the Made in the North East Awards by Insider, recognise the high quality North East manufacturing sector and the achievements of innovative and forward thinking businesses within the North East.

The HOTBIN Mini  composts more types of domestic waste and reduces the amount sent to landfill. The high internal temperatures of 40-60°c reduces nearly all waste types include garden waste, weeds and cooked food into rich compost in just 30-90 days. Making it both an efficient and effective home composting system for small urban gardens.

HOTBIN is manufactured at the Engineered Foam Products dedicated automotive manufacturing site located in Spennymoor, County Durham.

The winners will be announced at an awards dinner due to take place on 25^th March 2021.
